About the position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of World-Wide Sales Enablement, focusing on Onboarding, Skills, Process, and Tools. This pivotal role is designed as a hybrid position, requiring an average of 2-3 days per week in an HPE office. The Director will lead sales enablement initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales team through comprehensive onboarding programs, sales skills training, and the development of processes and tools. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales enablement, a deep understanding of sales processes, and the ability to drive measurable improvements in sales performance aligned with HPE's strategic goals. In this role, the Director will partner with internal stakeholders to create strategic training programs that meet the learning objectives of the sales team. Responsibilities include identifying training requirements, planning and developing training programs, and ensuring the quality of design and development of training materials. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, facilitating the identification and implementation of solutions to enhance sales performance. The Director will manage a large function within the organization, developing strategy and setting policy direction. This includes accountability for operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. The role requires a strong business acumen and the ability to act as a key advisor to executive management, influencing the strategic direction of the business. The Director will lead programs related to sales training across various regions, actively partnering with senior leadership to drive initiatives that align with overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead programs and projects related to sales training across a region or large business group.
  • Create, manage, and deliver a comprehensive onboarding program for new sales hires.
  • Design robust role-based sales training curriculum that includes sales methodologies, tools & processes, and key resources.
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, including in-person sessions, e-learning modules, and workshops.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of sales enablement initiatives.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with sales leadership and other stakeholders to align sales enablement strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the relevant sales enablement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strong return on investment.

Requirements

  • First-level university degree; advanced university degree in business preferred.
  • 12+ years in learning and development program management, with significant strategic experience.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, sales training, or sales enablement roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team to achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing sales training and onboarding programs.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
