About the position

The Store Manager at Dirt Cheap is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific store location, ensuring profitability and compliance with company standards. This role involves managing controllable expenses, developing employees, and providing exceptional customer service. The Store Manager works an average of 50 hours per week and is expected to fulfill various roles as needed to maintain store performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business reports and implement actions based on business conditions.
• Ensure compliance with food service protocols and proper food handling procedures.
• Conduct financial analysis to meet store sales, profits, margins, and expenses.
• Protect company assets by managing bank deposits, inventory control, and investigating discrepancies.
• Manage employee schedules, assign duties, and ensure accurate payroll submissions.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness, reporting deficiencies to maintenance promptly.
• Hold monthly meetings with employees to discuss policies and store performance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on customer feedback.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff while ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Conduct monthly safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in convenience store or retail management.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Intensive knowledge of retail operations and procedures.
• Ability to work an irregular schedule, including 50+ hours per week.
