About the position

The Discovery/Forensics Specialist at Sikich is responsible for conducting e-discovery activities, which include identifying, preserving, securing, collecting, and producing evidence for legal processes and security incident investigations. This role requires effective communication with clients and team members, as well as the ability to analyze various data sources to determine the root cause of incidents. The position is full-time with a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence four days a week during the transition period.

Responsibilities

• Provide e-discovery activities to identify, locate, preserve, secure, collect, prepare, review, and produce evidence for legal processes.
• Investigate security incidents and determine the root cause of incidents.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, and other data sources to identify the source of incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; IT/Cyber security degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. federal secret security clearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers, and management.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work 4 days per week from the office in Washington, DC.
