About the position
The Dishwasher at Bush Kountry Cafe is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes and kitchen equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, glassware, and cookware either by hand or using an industrial dishwasher.
- Sanitizing dishes to prevent cross-contamination and illness by following food safety guidelines.
- Organizing the dish area to keep it clutter-free and ensuring proper stacking of dishes for effective washing.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, floors, and spills, including iced tea and coffee machines.
- Emptying trash containers and removing full trash cans at the end of the shift.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
