About the position

The Dishwasher/Busser position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in dining services locations. This role involves collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure quality work and managing the dish pit to uphold safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exemplary cleanliness and sanitation at all dining services locations.
• Maintain relationships with kitchen staff to ensure quality of work.
• Clean all kitchen items including machines, walls, and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and clean floors and walls.
• Gather items from the servery and kitchen for disposal or washing.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes and place them in racks.
• Wash worktables, walls, and work areas.
• Pick up, segregate, and bag trash and garbage, removing all trash to designated areas.
• Set up dishwashing and pot sink area for service.
• Maintain a weekly cleaning schedule.
• Dispose of trash, boxes, cans, and bottles in their proper receptacles.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand and/or machine and return them to storage.
• Distribute all utensils, china, silverware, and pots to appropriate areas after washing.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or busser is a plus.
