About the position

As a Dishwasher at our Michelin-level Italian restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Santa Monica, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for use by our chefs and waitstaff. You will be part of a team that prides itself on delivering extraordinary dining experiences through high-quality dishes, including handmade pastas and creative cocktails. Your contributions will support the kitchen team in providing smooth and efficient service, which is crucial in a high-volume restaurant environment. In this role, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing all dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. You will also maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing station and the entire kitchen area. Additionally, you may assist with kitchen prep work as needed, such as peeling vegetables or preparing basic ingredients. Keeping the kitchen organized and safe is paramount, so you will take out trash, clean and sanitize surfaces, and ensure proper disposal of waste. Following sanitation guidelines is critical, and you will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and kitchen operations. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Passion for working in the restaurant industry and a desire to grow within the team.
