About the position

The Dish and Prep Team Member at Gram Cafe & Pancakes is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of kitchen operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
• Clean and maintain kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines for consistent food quality
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth workflow and timely food production
• Receive and store food supplies and ingredients
• Perform routine cleaning tasks as assigned by the kitchen manager

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
