About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a dynamic hospitality environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all food items are presented attractively.
- Support cooks by performing tasks such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in inventory management by helping to stock supplies and report any shortages.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the hospitality or culinary industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with catering services, banquet setups, or hotel kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques in food preparation.
