About the position

The Dishwasher position at Bon Appétit involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. This role is essential for ensuring a hygienic work environment and supporting the overall food service operations at the University of Alabama Athletics.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
• Polishes silver using various equipment and ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keeps the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to maintain sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and cleans garbage cans as needed.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience is a plus.
