About the position

The Dishwasher position at Bon Appétit involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. This role is essential for ensuring a hygienic work environment and supports the overall food service operations at the University of Alabama Athletics. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with a preference for candidates who can work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
• Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with outlined safety procedures and standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
