About the position
TouchPoint is hiring immediately for a full-time and part-time Dishwasher position at Alexian Brothers Behavioral located at 1650 Moon Lake Boulevard, Hoffman Estates, IL. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen work areas. The Dishwasher will be responsible for scrapping and rinsing food from dirty dishes, washing them by hand or using a dishwashing machine, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are kept in an orderly and sanitary condition. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and maintaining proper temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards. The Dishwasher will also be tasked with sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, washing worktables, walls, and other food prep surfaces, and removing trash in compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This role is vital in supporting the mission of TouchPoint to serve up hospitality for patients, their families, and visitors at Ascension Health hospitals throughout the U.S. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a big heart for service, as well as a passion for helping others heal. Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with outlined safety procedures and standards.
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- No previous experience is required.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment.
- Willingness to work every other weekend.
