As a member of the kitchen team at the Memphis Marriott, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain the dish machine according to established guidelines, ensuring that all dishes, glasses, and utensils are washed and sanitized properly. You will also be responsible for washing pots and pans in the designated pot washer's area, adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols at all times. In addition to dishwashing duties, you will be expected to keep the kitchen neat and clean by performing various cleaning tasks. This includes sweeping up broken glass or dishes, mopping up spills, and ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are tidy. You will also be responsible for emptying full and heavy trash cans, sanitizing them after each use, and replacing trash bags to maintain a hygienic environment. Following safety guidelines and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) protocols is essential in this role. You may also be asked to assist in other areas of the kitchen, including helping with plating for banquet events when needed. Your contributions will help ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and that guests have a pleasant dining experience.
