About the position

The Part-time Dishwasher at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Tustin, CA, is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. This role is essential for ensuring that dishware and grilling equipment are clean and available for use, contributing to the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follows sanitation standards and always keeps workstation clean and sanitized.
  • 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware and grilling equipment.
  • Helps with other tasks as assigned by Manager on Duty.
  • Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available.
  • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation.

Requirements

  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices.
  • Must maintain good hygiene.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain great enthusiasm.
  • Be a team player with strong work ethics.
  • Must be able to work during the holiday season (Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a similar role in a restaurant setting.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese.
