About the position
Morrison Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Dishwasher to join our team at the Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC. This position is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team and enhancing the dining experience for our patients and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for scrubbing and rinsing food from dirty dishes, either washing them by hand or utilizing the dishwashing machine. You will also be tasked with washing pots, pans, and trays according to established procedures, ensuring that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Additionally, you will polish silverware using various equipment and maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen. Your duties will include sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, washing worktables and food prep surfaces, and removing trash from designated areas. You will also assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, helping to load and unload supplies as needed. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly dish area, as well as adherence to safety procedures and standards. Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
- Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
