About the position
The Dishwasher position at Walters Hospitality involves working part-time in a fast-paced kitchen environment, primarily during events. The role is essential for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all kitchenware is properly cleaned and stored, and supporting the overall team effort to create memorable experiences for clients.
Responsibilities
- Work as a Dishwasher during events.
- Collect used kitchenware, china, and glassware and load and unload the dishwasher.
- Hand wash items as necessary.
- Store cleaned kitchenware, china, and glassware appropriately.
- Ensure there are enough cleaned dishes at all times, especially during peak service times.
- Remove garbage regularly.
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floors.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP within the kitchen areas.
- Exhibit a teamwork atmosphere.
- Maintain a flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of nights/weekends.
Requirements
- Previous Dishwasher or Kitchen experience is a plus.
- Food Handlers Certificate.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Lift 20-50 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds on occasion.
