About the position
The Dishwasher at Smoky Mountain Brewery is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This role involves operating cleaning equipment, washing dishes and pots, and performing janitorial duties to ensure a hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
- Follow all sanitary procedures and standards
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory measures regarding food storage, cleaning, and preparation
- Operate proper cleaning equipment
- Prioritize pot and dish washing to help with the rotation of needed materials
- Perform janitorial duties in various dining service areas
Requirements
- Team player with a sense of humor
- Math skills and understanding of basic conversions
- Ability to tare and use a digital scale
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and more on occasion (with assistance)
- Position requires standing, bending, and walking the entire workday
- Prefer prior restaurant experience
- Demonstrate the ability to follow recipes
