About the position
As a Dishwasher at Elison Assisted Living of Minot, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of service during every meal. In addition to washing dishes, you will also be tasked with removing any cracked or broken dishes from service, properly storing all kitchenware for the next mealtime, and disposing of trash appropriately. Cleaning the dishwashing machine after each shift and deep cleaning the kitchen on a monthly basis will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to sweep and mop the kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer each evening, ensuring that the kitchen remains a safe and sanitary place for food preparation. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Monitor the temperature of the dishwashing machine daily to ensure proper operation.
- Remove cracked or broken dishes and damaged utensils from service and notify the supervisor.
- Store all dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for the next mealtime.
- Dispose of all trash in a proper manner.
- Clean the dishwashing machine inside and out after each shift.
- Deep clean the kitchen on a monthly basis.
- Sweep and mop the kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer each evening.
Requirements
- 6 months experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate effectively.
