About the position

The Dishwasher position at SSA Group involves supporting the kitchen operations at Brevard Zoo by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of dishes and kitchen equipment. This part-time role requires working during days, evenings, and weekends, contributing to both park and catering operations while promoting a fun and friendly team environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment, including utensils, pots, and pans ensuring they meet standards for safe food preparation.
• Work with kitchen team to ensure dishes and equipment are stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
• Empty and clean trash and recycling receptacles while ensuring proper waste separation.
• Maintain a sanitary and organized work environment.
• Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleaning schedules to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work standing for long periods of time.
• Experience with fast-paced dish pit environment preferred.
• Ability to push through dishes and organize area as necessary to the business.
• Experience with MSDS knowledge and upholds active practice of cleanliness in the dish area while maintaining protocol for dish liquid use.
• Responsibly geared towards presenting a clean and welcome experience for guests through upholding sanitation requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
