About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team at Buffalo Jo's. This part-time position is essential for maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. The Dishwasher will support our restaurant's operations and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash regularly.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooks.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health regulations.
• Support the culinary team during busy periods, particularly during banquets or catering events.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to providing excellent hospitality service.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
