About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall success of our culinary operations, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house staff in delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including helping cooks and chefs with basic culinary duties.
• Organize clean dishes and ensure they are stored properly for easy access by kitchen staff.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Support catering or banquet events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned promptly for service.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
