About the position
The Dishwasher position at Harbor's Edge Continuing Care Retirement Community is essential for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This role supports the Dining and Catering Department's mission by ensuring that all dishware, cookware, and food preparation equipment are properly washed and sanitized, contributing to a high-quality dining experience for residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware to stock the dining areas and set tables
- Ensures a proper supply of clean pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available for kitchen staff
- Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Helps with general cleaning duties in the kitchen, such as cleaning walls/floors and emptying trash
- Maintains a positive, cheerful attitude at all times
- Attends in-service classes and staff meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Six (6) months of previous experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Positive, cheerful demeanor
