The Dishwasher position at Metro Diner involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, ensuring all tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment are thoroughly washed and sanitized. The role is essential for supporting the diner’s commitment to 100% guest satisfaction and a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean all tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized throughout each shift.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and levels of detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to the dumpster.
• Ensure the outside of the diner is clean and free of debris.

Requirements

• Ability to wash and clean all tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Capability to wash all equipment, mats, and walls in the dish work area and office.
• Organizational skills to maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Ability to handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Commitment to cleanliness outside the diner.
• Observational skills to monitor dish machine operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Dishwasher in a fast-paced work environment.
• Working knowledge of loading and unloading the dish machine.
• Experience assisting in stocking deliveries.
