About the position
The Dishwasher position at Charley's Steak House is essential for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. This role involves cleaning dishware, utensils, and kitchen areas, supporting the management team, and ensuring a hygienic environment for food preparation. The Dishwasher may also assist with basic food prep and inventory management as needed.
Responsibilities
- Clean all dishware, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Return cleaned items to their correct storage locations.
- Daily cleaning of the meat room and prep areas.
- Take out all garbage and maintain cleanliness in the back dock and garbage dumpster area.
- Assist with basic food prep duties as assigned.
- Help put away food orders as they arrive from vendors.
Requirements
- Preferred: Working towards a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Dishwashing or bussing experience recommended, but not required.
- Ability to efficiently deal with the rigorous demands of the restaurant business.
- Ability to interact with fellow employees and management and work as a team.
- Ability to work in a neat and organized manner.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
