About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting the overall operations of our food service establishment, whether it be in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including bussing tables and helping cooks during peak hours.
• Ensure that all kitchen items are stored in their designated places after cleaning.
• Support banquet and catering events by ensuring timely cleaning of service items.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate cleaning schedules during busy service times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to assist in various kitchen roles such as food preparation or bussing when needed.
• Understanding of basic food safety practices is a plus.
