About the position

The Dishwasher position at True Food Kitchen is essential for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment. This role involves washing dishes, utensils, and kitchenware, ensuring that all items are ready for use before, during, and after service. The Dishwasher will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Washing and catching dishes/silverware through dish machine
• Keeping the dish machine clean and reporting any functional or mechanical problems
• Monitoring dish machine water temperature/chemical level to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Washing and storing all tableware and kitchenware
• Keeping dish room, rest rooms, and food preparation areas clean and organized
• Maintaining adequate levels of clean tableware/plateware for dining room and kitchen
• Monitoring linen and trash containers and emptying when appropriate
• Understanding and following proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
• Washing metal pots and pans through 3 compartment sink by hand
• Washing and lifting glass racks with glass washer
• Ensuring overall cleanliness of kitchen (sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes, removal of trash, and more)
• Receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
• Being flexible during shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role is beneficial
• Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Hardworking and cleanly individual
