About the position

As a Dishwasher at Bar Louie, your primary responsibility is to ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen while supporting the preparation of food items. You will play a critical role in maintaining the dish area and equipment, ensuring that all items are sanitized and ready for use. This position requires a commitment to cleanliness, teamwork, and a fast-paced work ethic, as you may be required to assist in various kitchen tasks throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify Bar Louie's Mission, Vision and Values in daily work.
• Demonstrate a commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
• Set up, clean, and maintain the dish area and equipment, including 3 sinks.
• Clean and sanitize all small wares, cutlery, dishware, and food prep containers.
• Ensure all food is maintained, stored, and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, cleaning as you go.
• Work independently or as part of a team based on shift needs.
• Follow directions and communicate effectively with Management and peers.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including washing items and cleaning the kitchen.
• Adhere to all Company and government health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with Managers and Team Members.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and managers.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to memorize, prep, prepare, and present all menu items to specification.
• Ability to safely utilize knives and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of restaurant prep and cooking methods preferred.
• Food safety certification where required by law.
• 3-6 months of related experience or training preferred.
