About the position

The Dishwasher position at Dave & Buster's is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the establishment, ensuring a pleasant experience for both guests and staff. This role involves a variety of tasks centered around the cleaning, sanitizing, and proper storage of all dishes, flatware, utensils, and kitchenware. As a Dishwasher, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers an unparalleled guest experience through a combination of food, drinks, and games in a fun and celebratory environment. In this role, you will be responsible for operating all equipment safely and correctly, using chemicals properly for safety and cost control, and adhering to all company safety and sanitation policies. You will clean and sanitize all dishware, flatware, and glassware, ensuring that nothing is lost or disposed of improperly. Additionally, you will assist other kitchen staff members during busy times, help with line maintenance, and maintain cleanliness in kitchen storage areas and dish areas. The Dishwasher position requires a friendly demeanor, as you will be interacting with guests and team members. You must be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment and be prepared to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends. This role is perfect for individuals who are self-motivated, disciplined, and enjoy working as part of a team in a lively atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sanitizes all dishware, flatware, and glassware.
  • Cleans and sanitizes kitchen pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Empties all trash in the kitchen and cleans and maintains trash cans.
  • Assists other kitchen staff members with pressure point relief during the shift as needed.
  • Cleans and maintains kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, and drains.
  • Assists in the maintenance of kitchen storage areas, cleanliness, and stocking.
  • Cleans and maintains all mats.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members.
  • Uses all chemicals properly in the correct quantities for safety and cost control.
  • Safely and correctly operates all equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with Guests and other Team Members.
  • Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Must be dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times.
