About the position

The Dishwasher position at Awesome Catering DFW is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen. The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently and safely. This role is essential for supporting the kitchen team in food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area.
• Ensure that all dishes are properly cleaned and free from any contaminants.
• Assist in unloading and storing clean dishes in appropriate storage areas.
• Operate dishwashing machinery, following safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure that all dishes, glassware, and utensils are returned to their appropriate locations in a timely manner.
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, and other surfaces as directed.
• Dispose of trash and recycling in a proper manner.
• Assist kitchen staff with other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Maintain a positive, clean, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
