About the position

The Dishwasher/Utility position at fit-flavors is a full-time role focused on maintaining the cleanliness of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position supports the kitchen team by ensuring that all dishes are clean and organized, allowing chefs to focus on meal preparation. The role emphasizes personal and professional growth, with guidance from a direct manager and trainer.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness of all dishes.
• Prioritizing cleaning dishes based on frequency of use or departmental needs.
• Maintaining the organization of clean and dirty dishes.
• Gathering dirty dishes from the packaging department.
• Removing labels from all dishes.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the dish station, including squeegeeing floors and wiping down walls.
• Collaborating with other dishwashers to ensure speed and cleanliness.
• Communicating with chefs for additional cleaning or prepping tasks when caught up.
• Changing out the water in the dish machine every hour.
• Completing monthly deep cleaning duties as specified by the Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chefs.

Requirements

• Desire and willingness to develop professionally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Background and/or interest in the health/nutrition industry.
• Willingness to put in the time and effort required to complete core job functions.
