About the position
SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a dishwasher to join our dynamic team in the Center City Philadelphia area. This position is ideal for an energetic and upbeat individual who is eager to grow their culinary career in a supportive environment. As a dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. The schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., allowing for a work-life balance that is often hard to find in the culinary industry. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall dining experience. You will interact positively with SAGE guests and team members, providing service with a smile. Your duties will include disposing of waste, properly washing and sorting soiled utensils, dishes, and pots, as well as cleaning, restocking, and replenishing serving lines and stations. Additionally, you will set up and break down the dish machine, ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members, providing service with a smile.
- Dispose of waste and maintain a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled utensils, dishes, and pots.
- Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure an exquisite dining experience for guests.
- Set up and break down the dish machine and sanitize equipment in the kitchen.
Requirements
- Ability to keep all stock areas neat and clean.
- Ability to understand and apply FIFO inventory procedures.
- Prior commercial dishwashing experience preferred, but motivated individuals can be trained.
