About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Senior Manager to lead complex datacenter and cloud migration initiatives. This role focuses on improving migration velocity and operational performance while managing a team of engineers. The position is part of the Digital Infrastructure Strategy Program (DISP), which aims to transform the company's technology infrastructure by exiting existing datacenters and migrating applications to new environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to resolve technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced principal and senior engineers responsible for application migrations to new datacenters or public cloud.
• Lead the team that advises technology-wide leadership on applications, network, information security, and other technologies for complex business needs.
• Resolve unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions.
• Engage and influence architects and engineers to incorporate technical strategies and enable application migration paths.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks.
• Ensure security, stability, and scalability within technology functions, managing and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction and influence technology requirements.
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources to meet commitments and align with strategic objectives.
• Build a culture of talent development to design and deliver innovative solutions, conducting performance management for engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 3+ years of Management experience.
• 3+ years of experience with datacenter migrations and/or cloud migrations.
