About the position

The Dispatch Service position at NMGC is a critical role that provides frontline support to customers, ensuring community safety through effective communication and coordination. This position involves addressing customer inquiries and emergencies, prioritizing tasks based on urgency, maintaining accurate records, assisting with billing, and supporting operations personnel in field investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and dispatch daily service workload for various technicians and crews.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely updates of work order completion data within the Banner system.
  • Monitor SCADA telemetry readouts and alert appropriate personnel of any issues.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and logs as required.
  • Monitor compliance with FCC rules and regulations.
  • Act as a focal contact point for all NMGC emergency responses statewide.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • For Dispatch Service: 2 years of call center or previous dispatch experience.
  • For Senior Dispatch Service: 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate Degree
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
