About the position

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dispatch operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining communication between various stakeholders including drivers, clients, and vendors. This role involves scheduling, training, and supervising dispatch staff to meet company standards and enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation of shift schedules.
• Monitoring calls and evaluating team performance.
• Coordinating training and providing support to dispatch staff.
• Maintaining efficient workflow and handling calls from different geographic areas.
• Liaising with vendors, clients, and drivers to ensure company standards are met.
• Overseeing the accuracy of information shared between terminals to mitigate crossing drivers.
• Scheduling drivers for pre-scheduled calls.
• Working with other managers to ensure open lines of communication.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to create a work schedule for the team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
