The position involves ensuring the execution of daily operations within the department, reviewing and auditing drivers' logs and inspections, and working closely with Safety & Compliance. The individual will be accountable for production, supervision, and discipline of employees, monitoring and evaluating them based on established goals and standards. The role requires enforcing policy and procedure compliance, coordinating with other departments, responding to and solving problems, and training employees on job-specific duties. Additionally, the candidate is expected to make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements while effectively communicating with drivers, clients, vendors, and employees. The position also involves assisting the Operations Manager with planning and budget processes, along with other duties as assigned.
