About the position

Our company is looking to hire a full-time Dispatcher / Accounts Receivable associate into our fast-growing HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical Company located in Libertyville. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within our service department. The Dispatcher will be responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling service calls, and dispatching technicians to various job sites. This position requires excellent communication skills to relay route information to technicians in a professional manner. Additionally, the Dispatcher will close jobs, create invoices, collect and apply payments, and conduct collection calls as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and handle busy phone lines with multiple incoming calls simultaneously. Organizational skills are essential, as the Dispatcher will need to file customer information and provide administrative support to the office team. The role demands the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently, especially during peak hours. This position offers opportunities for overtime and requires a commitment to working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with every other Saturday from 7 AM to 12 PM. The Dispatcher will be expected to work between 38 to 45 hours per week, depending on the workload.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and schedule service calls.
  • Dispatch calls to technicians in a timely manner.
  • Close jobs and create invoices for completed work.
  • Collect and apply payments from customers.
  • Conduct collection calls as necessary.
  • File customer information accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support to the office team.

Requirements

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • 2 years of customer service experience required.
  • 1 year of background in HVAC or Plumbing preferred.
  • 2 years of call center experience preferred.
