About the position

The Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative role at Action Plumbing Heating & Air/24 Hour Rooter Connectionz is a part-time position focused on managing weekend operations. The ideal candidate will assist in customer service and dispatching tasks, ensuring efficient communication and scheduling for service technicians. This entry-level position requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Being reliable and punctual.
  • Answering inbound calls.
  • Making outbound calls to existing clientele.
  • Schedule and organize appointments.
  • Managing many calls and calendars at once.
  • Complaint resolution/customer retention.
  • Understanding dispatching funnels.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Avoid any possible conflict of interest.
  • Paper and computer work.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as a Customer Service Rep and/or Dispatcher.
  • Open availability to work 2 consecutive weekend days Friday thru Sunday.
  • Computer/tech-savvy with an ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, or a combination of related experience and/or advanced training/education.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of the local geographic territory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience in the area of customer service and/or related dispatching service technicians.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong degree of self-motivation to provide exceptional customer service to customers by phone while directing technicians by cell phone and tracking devices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple appointments.
  • Demonstrated listening, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed set goals.
  • Experience gathering customer information and keying it into a computer.
