About the position

The Dispatcher/Customer Service role at Wind N Sea Towing involves coordinating and dispatching drivers for emergency roadside assistance. This part-time position requires effective communication and organizational skills to ensure timely service delivery while maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch multiple drivers to emergency roadside calls using mobile devices and computer software.
  • Answer phones in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Investigate the needs of the caller to appropriately dispatch the best service vehicle and driver.
  • Dispatch calls based on the service(s) and the appropriate service truck needed.
  • Complete reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Collect driver documents daily and complete log sheets.
  • Keep accurate records of dispatch times, arrival times, and call completion times.
  • Follow company processes for clearing calls, including documentation.
  • Effectively use GPS tools to track the location of company vehicles.
  • Release vehicles and follow guidelines for collecting documentation.

Requirements

  • 1 year of dispatching experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills and data entry capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with transportation management systems.
  • Typing skills.
  • Phone etiquette.
