About the position

As a Dispatcher at DEVA Logistics LLC, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating delivery routes for drivers, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor delivery routes to ensure efficient, on-time deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers to provide support, solve issues, and respond to inquiries.
• Adjust and optimize routes based on real-time conditions, such as traffic or weather.
• Track delivery metrics and report performance to improve overall operations.
• Manage customer service inquiries related to delivery status as needed.
• Use routing software and GPS systems to assist drivers effectively.
• Safely operate the delivery vehicle when required.
• Use a handheld device for navigation and accessing customer delivery information.
• Navigate routes across various areas in Montgomery and surrounding regions.
• Load and unload packages (up to 50 lbs) efficiently.

• Adapt to different weather conditions and handle stairs and van entry/exit throughout your shift.

Requirements

• Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
• Comfortable using routing software, GPS, and handheld devices.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and management.
• Adaptable and quick-thinking when managing unexpected changes in routes or delivery challenges.
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including occasional weekends.
