About the position

The Dispatch Supervisor at BlueTeam is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dispatch Department within the Restoration division. This role involves managing dispatch staff, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and coordinating activities between Dispatch and other areas of the company. The Dispatch Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a first-line supervisor for designated dispatch staff overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Makes recommendations to the Director regarding appropriate staffing levels.
  • Supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of dispatchers handling emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • Responsible for effective supervision administration including staff development and performance management.
  • Approves and monitors leave requests for dispatch staff.
  • Advises staff on difficult issues and makes decisions in exceptional situations.
  • Records all Project Manager daily check-ins and Project Directors statuses on the daily operations calendar.
  • Ensures updates of the daily operations calendar to all Regional Directors and Director of Operations.
  • Inputs all job leads, new jobs, client team members, and assigned Project Directors and Superintendents in Shiggy.
  • Assists with ad-hoc projects and administrative support as directed by leadership.
  • Maintains ongoing communications and coordination of activities between Dispatch and all areas of BlueTeam.
  • Ensures the operational readiness of the team and makes minor adjustments to communication systems.
  • Assists dispatchers with difficult complex calls and conducts quality assurance reviews of dispatches.
  • Establishes Dispatch KPIs and advises on performance standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher, or a minimum of 3-5 years working in the construction industry or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably with a large general contractor or construction company.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and emphasis on excellent customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on client and team needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, Outlook), Acumatica, and Certify Timekeeping software.
