About the position

The Dispatcher Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, managing a team of drivers, and ensuring efficient fleet maintenance and timely deliveries. This position serves as the primary contact for customers and requires strong organizational and communication skills to maintain accurate records and promote a culture of safety and equality within the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatching operations and manage the driver team.
• Ensure efficient and timely deliveries while maintaining accurate records.
• Manage fleet maintenance and repairs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding delivery and service inquiries.
• Promote a culture of safe driving and equality among the team.
• Maintain accurate billing, driver, and truck files/records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a relevant position.
• Knowledge of trucking and port operations, delivery routes, and industry regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under constraints.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, GPS software, and other relevant tools.
