About the position

The Dispatcher at Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics of product deliveries, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to drivers. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. The Dispatcher will also handle customer pickups and assist with special projects as assigned by the Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities

• Handle all will call customer pickups and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Coordinate routes by examining product dimensions and weight for each order.
• Ensure compliance with weight limits.
• Identify and evaluate any special requirements for each load.
• Determine the most efficient vehicle for route completion.
• Coordinate jobsite and truckload deliveries with external customers.
• Communicate with internal customers regarding shipments and deliveries.
• Assign the appropriate qualified driver to operate the equipment.
• Provide support to a team of drivers.
• Load and drive trucks as needed.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.

Requirements

• CDL Class A required or willing to obtain it to be a back-up driver if needed.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient computer and email skills.
• General knowledge of NC, SC, VA, MD, and DC geographical area routing.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to operate moffett and forklifts.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Ability to use a tape measure and accurately measure glass.
