About the position

The Dispensary Associate at iAnthus is a vital role that directly supports the daily operations of the dispensary, reporting to the Dispensary Manager. This position is centered around providing exceptional patient service and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations. The Dispensary Associate will engage with patients, educate them about products, and assist in the intake process, ensuring that all patient forms are accurate and complete. The role requires a strong commitment to maintaining the policies and procedures of iAnthus while contributing to the overall goals of the company. The Dispensary Associate will also participate in regular team meetings to ensure alignment on objectives and will be responsible for maintaining proper recordkeeping, including cash handling records and waste disposal logs. In addition to daily operations, the Dispensary Associate will play a key role in training and development, ensuring that all patients receive a warm welcome and compassionate service. The associate will need to be proficient in HIPAA regulations and inventory management systems, as well as stay current on product knowledge and proper dosages. The role also involves reviewing sales and best practices with team members to achieve business goals, making it essential for the associate to be proactive and detail-oriented. Responsibilities

  • Engage and educate patients in a positive manner
  • Ensure patient intake forms are accurate and complete
  • Assist in qualifying patients for the Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations
  • Perform general office work, such as filing records and operating copy machines
  • Provide feedback to Dispensary General and Assistant Managers on patient experiences
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping including patient intake forms and cash handling records
  • Participate in daily 1-minute meetings to ensure uniformity in message and goals
  • Deliver excellent and compassionate patient services
  • Participate in monthly product inventory reviews
  • Ensure all patients are greeted with a helpful and pleasant attitude
  • Stay current on product knowledge and proper dosage
  • Review and update patient educational materials
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings
  • Review sales daily and best practices to achieve goals with team members
  • Implement brand sales marketing strategies
  • Maintain the dispensary aesthetic according to iAnthus brand standards

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Computer literate; POS experience desirable
  • High school graduate
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per NYS guidelines
