About the position

The General Manager at Green Cannabis Co. will play a pivotal role in developing, building, and maintaining the company's strategic goals in alignment with its mission and values. This position requires overseeing all dispensary operations to achieve both short and long-term business objectives, focusing on safety, quality, production, sales, and customer service. The GM will be responsible for ensuring that the dispensary operates smoothly and efficiently, adhering to all state and local regulations while fostering a high-quality customer service culture. In this role, the General Manager will supervise all dispensary operations, including opening and closing procedures, and will develop strategies aimed at growing the store's customer base and sales volume. The GM will also be tasked with creating employee schedules, training staff on policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Customer interaction is a key component of this role, as the GM will counsel and guide customers, educate them on cannabis properties, and ensure that their needs are met effectively. The General Manager will work closely with the marketing team to enhance sales and patient volumes, manage inventory and financial records, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies. This includes assisting with audits, managing cash handling procedures, and overseeing product procurement. The GM will also be responsible for defining and implementing performance standards, allocating budget resources, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Overall, the General Manager will embody the company's vision and values, inspiring the team to achieve operational excellence and build strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all Dispensary operations, opening, and closing procedures per open hours of operation.
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the store.
  • Develop a schedule to adequately staff the Dispensary.
  • Train all employees on policies, processes, procedures, and roles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Counsel and guide customers of the store when needed.
  • Work with the marketing team to increase sales and patient volumes.
  • Secure and organize all customer files and provide weekly updates of customer volume, new customers, repeat customers, weekly sales volume, and percent sales volume of new vs. repeat customers.
  • Comply with dispensary cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities per policy.
  • Educate customers on cannabis properties and selection of proper genetics per the customer's desired effect or specific medical ailment.
  • Assist with procurement of Dispensary supplies and equipment, etc.
  • Perform daily inventory management.
  • Maintain a culture of high-quality customer service and communication.
  • Execute customer service and quality surveys as assigned by leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Ensure compliance with all Dispensary policies and procedures.
  • Assist State and Local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies.
  • Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment and hiring of staff.
  • Oversee inventory, financial records, and compliance reporting.
  • Oversee product procurement and assist purchasing to ensure there's adequate inventory at all times.
  • Communicate and embody the company's vision and values.
  • Define and implement policies and performance standards.
  • Allocate budget resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel.
  • Ensure the dispensary's compliance with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.
  • Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance Green Thumb's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Deliver direction, oversight, and execution of all dispensary operations.
  • Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of assigned team and make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training Guest Consultants.
  • Set an example and inspire internal team to deliver the highest level of customer experience.
  • Review performance of other dispensary employees on a regular basis.
  • Provide education and development for staff about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms.
  • Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
  • Oversee and manage quality product inventory and financial records.
  • Collaborate with Green Thumb leadership, to set sales, service, and profit goals and inspire and motivate staff to exceed them.
  • Work with wholesalers to negotiate and procure an adequate supply of quality products.
  • Maintain and enforce effective cash handling protocols until reconciliation.
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of every patient and employee.
  • Serve as a liaison to the local community.
  • Lead and inspire a culture of high performance and building strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • 3 years of customer service experience
  • 3 years of sales experience
  • 3 years of cannabis experience
  • 2 years of retail management experience
  • Ability to commute to Las Vegas, NV
  • Ability to relocate to Las Vegas, NV before starting work
