About the position

The Dispensary Supervisor at Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with regulations. This position is designed for individuals with strong leadership qualities who can motivate associates and maintain high standards of performance while managing inventory and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class customer service to customers
  • Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all products and strains in the store and industry-wide product knowledge, and train team members
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels and communicate inventory action items with the General Manager
  • Assist Dispensary Associates in consulting customers to ensure informed product choices
  • Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during scheduled shifts
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and use of the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry in the POS and inventory tracking systems
  • Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to security measures and safety compliance
  • Maintain an organized and clean store
  • Manage visitor log and end-of-day update emails
  • Ensure accuracy with the vault
  • Work with the Management team to ensure smooth retail store operations
  • Conduct daily activities, maintenance, and data collection for reported issues and/or complaints
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team

Requirements

  • Cannabis experience required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong retail math skills required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
  • Understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry
  • Must be compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to internalize training and follow instructions
  • Clear and effective communication skills
