About the position

As a Distinguished Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of a community of technical experts focused on defining the future of banking in the cloud. You will lead technical contributions, mentor talent, and shape the network security agenda across multiple platforms, leveraging your expertise in public cloud and network security capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 7 years of software engineering or software development experience within the network security domain
• At least 5 years of public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• At least 3 years of experience with Network Infrastructure Security Engineering

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 12+ years of software engineering or software development experience within the network security domain
• 7+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• 5+ years of experience with Network Infrastructure Security Engineering
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE/CCDE, CISSP, AWS or GCP professional network or security certifications
