About The Position

The Distinguished Software Engineer in Cloud Security Engineering at Rapid7 will lead architectural and technical development for the InsightCloudSec product and Cloud Detection & Response service. This role focuses on driving innovation, operational excellence, and collaboration across teams to enhance customer security solutions. The engineer will mentor teams, engage with customers, and ensure alignment in technical strategies to meet market demands and improve product reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership as an engineer with ownership of core architecture of large, complex systems for SaaS/Cloud-based products.
• 5+ years of leadership and engineering experience in Cloud Security SaaS.
• Proven track record of designing complex enterprise-class software at scale.
• Experience with a variety of programming languages, environments, and platforms.
• Strong ability to synthesize strategic trends in the industry and set course accordingly.
• Ability to engage closely with customers and influence cross-functional teams.
