The Distributed Computer Systems Analyst position at the State of Florida is a technical role within the Division of Administration, Bureau of Finance and Accounting. The primary responsibility of this position is to process and validate data received from various in-house users, ensuring that the data is accurately submitted and integrated into the financial systems. This includes managing the validation of files from automated batch transaction systems such as payroll and telephone bills, which are sent to the FLAIR system via FTP or tape. The analyst will also be responsible for the timely authorization and setup of security profiles and user resets for financial systems, including FLAIR DACA, DACN access, and the DFS Cash Management System (CMS). In addition to data processing, the analyst will provide essential data to system users within the department and external agencies, utilizing computer programs and reports to ensure that departmental data is accurately entered into the appropriate systems. This encompasses workload, contract, disbursement transaction, and access control reports. The role also involves researching, developing, and maintaining documentation for software applications, including program listings and operational procedures. The analyst will coordinate the implementation of policies, procedures, and security requirements, and assist in the design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer applications that interface with existing mainframe applications or databases. Consultation with users to assess their needs and define system requirements is a critical aspect of this role. The analyst will also be expected to perform other related duties and special projects as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department's financial systems.
