About the position

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Director of Marketing for their Distributed IT Division (D-IT) based in Woodridge, Illinois. This role involves providing strategic direction and leadership for channel marketing, brand strategy, and overall marketing strategy, contributing to an annual revenue of over $800 million. The position requires collaboration across various business functions to ensure the success of the division and the execution of key marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop talent on the channel marketing team within the Division.
  • Guide Product Line Management team to execute key strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Influence the GPL for regional marketing alignment and performance.
  • Partner with engineering to execute the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and services to deliver customer solutions.
  • Develop a team of product and marketing managers for product definition, pricing, and promotions.
  • Co-lead new product introduction (NPI) roadmap and execution with the Director of Product Management.
  • Lead collaboration between the product lifecycle team and the NAS organization.
  • Develop sales growth and marketing strategies for existing and new markets.
  • Focus on increasing margins through effective channel marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Maximize ROI through effective deployment of the marketing budget and implementation of key performance metrics.
  • Identify inorganic growth opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential acquisition targets.
  • Champion sales management and agency collaboration, gathering VOC and NPS data.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in channel sales, marketing, or related position in IT hardware and/or software.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Strong executive level communication capabilities.
  • Proven ability to execute business strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with strategic planning, profit planning, and road mapping.
  • Experience with price realization and channel programs impacting net revenue.
  • Experience leading channel marketing direct and indirect teams.
  • Experience with electronic tools such as Power BI, Salesforce.com, SAP, CPQ.
  • Ability to travel 25%.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding and experience within the IT Distribution, Solution Reseller, Power Value-added Reseller, and eCommerce channels.
  • Previous experience in made to stock business.
