About the position

Spectrum Brands' Home & Personal Care (HPC) Appliances business is seeking a Manager of Distribution to oversee the 3PL relationship at our Redlands, CA distribution center. This role involves providing leadership, strategic planning, and distribution expertise while managing relationships to ensure best-in-class service, cost, and quality. The Manager will coordinate with third-party suppliers daily to meet the expectations of Spectrum Brands and our customers, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to operational and financial improvements. Additionally, this position will manage relationships with several factory service providers across the product portfolio, with multi-site responsibility for all aspects of distribution operations.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and implement effective 3PL distribution and transportation contracts.
  • Enable a multimodal distribution network designed to fulfill all customer and consumer demands.
  • Develop and approve budgeting while providing oversight control of distribution costs.
  • Create and implement long-term strategic plans for the distribution function to ensure continued customer service program development and logistics requirements for future needs in domestic and international markets.
  • Provide leadership development and resource support for the team.
  • Maintain and produce monthly KPI reports for cost, quality, service, and safety.
  • Own the relationship and execution oversight of all return/refurbish programs.
  • Responsible for all distribution-related SOX compliance oversight and reporting.
  • Ensure internal and external inventory accuracy compliance measures are achieved.
  • Lead the design and implementation of distribution network models that support the strategic direction of the business and future growth.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. Degree; MBA preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of Operations/Finance/Supply Chain/Distribution experience with emphasis in multi-site distribution.
  • Industry certification preferred.
  • Some understanding of Network Design is preferred.
  • Experience in DTC, ecomm parcel fulfillment.
