The Distribution Center Associate role at OmniCable involves operating production equipment and performing various warehouse tasks to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment such as Rim Drive or Re-spooler for cutting wire to predetermined lengths.
- Use Material Handling Equipment (MHE) like forklifts/order pickers for stock management.
- Inspect inbound stock for quality, count, and type, ensuring receipt accuracy.
- Process stock through computer entry and prepare inventory for put-away.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify that shipments are packed properly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Operate value-adding wire machinery for order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Distribution Center following safety standards.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Dependable teamwork attitude and effective communication skills are essential.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours a day.
